After the successful culmination of the previous two editions, The Times of India – Global Sports Show 2018, will focus on India’s dynamic Sports environment and open the gates to sports enthusiasts and businesses alike, so as to encompass a wider and stronger outreach as well as give a fillip to the ‘Khelo India’ initiative.
The Times of India – Global Sports Show (GSS) 2018, has been designed with an enhanced and strategically aligned curricula, which comprises of an all-encompassing exhibitor category, focused conferences, workshops and a live action zone for sports enthusiasts to participate in a bevy of activities. As special features to GSS 2018, there will also be a dedicated Sports Start Up, Tech & Innovation Zone, Focused Hosted Buyer Meets and a Charity Dinner which will be inclusive of a Felicitation Ceremony to acknowledge the top contributors to Sports in India.
From last year to this year, there has been a sea change and coming to this year there are many manufacturers gathering under one roof, right from high performers to basic performers. This is something that I wanted to do in Bhopal, namely getting all verticals together that are involved in sports, be it manufacturers, athletes, physios, nutritionists, star athletes or more. It’s a learn-learn and win-win for everybody if we want to move sports in the right direction and have a group of people working on this. That is the way India will get to our deserved place.
The Times of India – Global Sports Business Show (GSBS) is a unique and one of its kind opportunity for all stakeholders in sports to converge and explore relationships in taking the mission of sports, physical wellness and character building of India’s youth to its next and logical level.
The ﬁrst edition of GSBS has been quite good, we have got a good opportunity to network along with good visitors and good enquiries.
This expo has been a very good start, speciﬁcally when it comes to sporting products. The event was very well organised, and we got the right target audience and very focused, relevant visitors.
GSBS worked out very well for us, we got many orders and enquiries and it’s a promise that we will deﬁnitely be a participant in the next edition in the years to come.
This is a fantastic initiative taken. It’s very rare that you have the government sector, athletes and the private sector all coming together for one purpose; that is how do we make Indian sports better. I think it’s a pretty cool initiative. You’re getting so many stakeholders under one roof trying to ﬁgure out one problem; how do we better Indian sports globally? And how do we make use of the opportunity that lies in India? So to get the best minds and the right support, it’s a great initiative.
GSBS is a good show and a good platform for the sports industry to come together and present to consumers the business of sport. We are very happy to be a part of the ﬁrst edition and we wish it all the best in the years to come.
By the end of the ﬁrst day we got quite a lot of footfalls and by the end of two days we had over 400 footfalls. The inaugural edition of GSBS has been good and we have got quite some business.
This is one such platform, we don’t have a regular sports show in the country to showcase the product, such a platform helps to showcase the international products with us so that the perception changes. The Times Of India is doing a fabulous job, both with the speakers and exhibitors, and I would love to see this show grow bigger every year.
With people from all the domains coming together, everyone gets to interact with each other and knows the needs of an individual. This helps to ﬁll the gaps by providing apt services, which eventually beneﬁts each and every individual. It’s a great way to communicate, share and collectively get better at this. It’s fantastic.
